Congregational Care
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
CONTACT THE CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRY FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE.
Congregational Care is responsible for supporting our members through the joy and sorrows of life. The members of WPC are the people that God has entrusted to Congregational Care, and it is our goal to show the love of Christ as we serve our brothers and sisters in faith.
The ministry welcomes new members and provides New Member information packets. WPC is a welcoming congregation balancing friendly interest without overwhelming attention.
We are committed to surrounding others with the peace and love of WPC through preparation of meals, planning and implementing celebrations and receptions, providing comfort through phone calls, visits, or letters/cards. The foundation for all our activities is prayer.
Congregational Care is central to the ministry at WPC and is grounded in the church’s affirmation that we belong to God and to one another. We come together as a body to give thanks for God’s claim on our lives and to commit to love and serve one another after the example of Jesus Christ.
